But First, You Gotta Die

Jesus came to give us LIFE. But to get that life, understand that life, live that life, first you gotta DIE! Uh, yeah, I think I’ll pass! But if you do you will miss out on the greatest joy in the universe – Resurrection Life!

What Are You Doing?

The Bible is filled with stories of those who did crazy things for God! Without any doubt most of them were asked to explain themselves; they were asked – What Are You Doing? 2000 years ago on the first Palm Sunday 2 unnamed followers of Jesus joined the ranks of those asked that question. So, what were they doing?

A Pursuit of Joy

Today is Palm Sunday, the day we celebrate the time our Lord entered Jerusalem on a donkey to the acclaim of the crowds. To honor Him they threw palm branches and clothing before Him – the original red carpet treatment! Yet He knew that in just one short week many of that same crowd would be calling to crucify Him. What drove Him forward knowing as He did what lay ahead? The answer is in just one word: JOY!

Jesus said that He came that we might have (experience) abundant life. Perhaps a good name for the kind of life is Resurrection Life. This is a life lived in the power and purpose of the Resurrection. It is a life full of meaning and joy and hope. What does it take to experience this kind of life here and now?

That Which We Must Not Forget!

Resurrection Sunday (Easter) is fast approaching. This is the day millions around the world celebrate the most amazing event of all history. Without the resurrection, Christianity would be just another religion, just another attempt to reach up to God on our terms. But with the resurrection Christianity is a living way to God! This month we will consider I Corinthians 15 which is all about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, a fact that the believers in the church at Corinth appeared to be forgetting…
